This is the view that welcomes us after getting off the bus. I took this photo from the road right at the bus stop. |
Who says beach is only for summer? Well, this is not true for Aussies as Bondi Beach was swamped with locals and tourists even during Fall.
It was a weekend in Sydney when my very good friend Yanti toured me in some of the beautiful sites of the city. After a steeply walk in The Gap, Yanti brought me to Bondi Beach.
Bondi is one of the many beaches in Sydney that is located just few minutes from the CBD. It took us a smooth 20-minute bus ride to reach the beach. Since it was Fall, the sea breeze was really cold which we often refer to a winter breeze.
The area is surrounded by restaurants with a wide selection of dishes. Since i had a week of no rice in NZ, i really was looking for some Asian restaurants in the area. And yes, there's a Thai restaurant (thai-in-abox).
After eating, the long walk to the beach began. We all had to wear our scarf and bonnets to fight the cold. But guess what? There were a number of people enjoying their swim. Some were also surfing in the cold sea.
Here are the photos i got from this escapade.
This photo shows another view of Bondi Beach taken at the cliff near the Bondi Iceberg.
Hello Bondi, and Hello World! Stepping on the sand with my shoes? Yes! many tourists were wearing their shoes while promenading the beach.
One formal shot please. The sun was quiet shy to come out.
Great pic with a beautiful backdrop of the long beach. This was taken on the cliff of Iceberg.
Tourists there were so friendly, we managed to ask one to take a photo of us.
Posing with Bondi Iceberg as my backdrop. Beautiful pool! Too bad the waves were not as drastic as they were during summer.
Iceberg Infinity Pool.
Truly beautiful! Bondi Beach is a must visit site when you are in Sydney.
