Luxury in the city: Shangrila Mactan

On my previous blog, i featured details of my birthday. This time, will show you the  best of Shangrila Mactan it has to offer to its guests.

Honestly speaking, there ain't any good beach in Mactan Cebu. All the beaches you'll see in huge resorts were already developed the artificial way. But who cares? They are still awesome. 

Well, when it comes to beaches in Mactan, Shangrila holds the most beautiful of them all. Its long stretch of powdery brownish white sand is perfect for anyone who just wants to lounge by the beach.

The room is basically equipped with beds, furnitures, and bathroom essential that of a 5-star hotel. The cleanliness of the room was immaculate. Luckily, Shangrila had their main building refurbished just recently. Cool! the room looks and smells so new.

Here's what you get inside a De Luxe room - flat screen LED TV, a work desk, cabinet and refrigerator, plus... a Balcony!

Now it's time to hit the pool. Shangrila Mactan has 2 swimming pools. The main swimming pool has its kiddie pool with water slides and a 7.5 feet deep adult’s pool. The pool is located at the heart of the property just outside the main building. The other pool is located near the beach, right outside the Ocean Wing building’s Aqua restaurant. While the main pool offers a space for people who know how to swim, the ocean wing swimming pool is perfect for everyone, whether one knows how to swim or not. It’s deepest pool is 58 feet only. 

All its swimming pools have dedicated life guards in orange uniform. Yeah, they are just sitting on their post the whole day.

The main Pool is open from 0600AM to 10PM while the Aqua Swimming pool is open from 0600AM to 0700PM.

If you can’t get enough with the swimming pools, worry no more as Shangrila Mactan has a long stretch if white sand beach.  And let me say this again, Shangrila has the best beach in Mactan Cebu.

Swim with the crystal clear water filled with colorful aquatic creatures swimming around. Surely, kids will love to find Nemo while they are swimming in the sea.

Right at the beach side is a rock-islet with an oozing view of the resort on top. 

On top of the rock-islet.  You definitely can just relax in there. There are also SPA set-up on this area.

Tired of swimming? relax at the cabanas in the beach. 

Wanna have tan lines? Sit on one of the beds by the beach.

If you are bringing kids with you, Don't forget to bring them to the Kiddie water playground.
