Hello Kuala Lumpur City Center.
We immediately purchase our train pass in one of the many retail kiosks in the station. This time, from KL Sentral to KLCC is our route. Of course, who would ever want to miss the picturesque beauty of Petronas Twin towers?
Getting a train pass has always been easy with the help of electronic kiosks.
So off we go! it was nearly a 15-minute train ride when we jumped off to KLCC Station. Petronas Tower is located right in the Kuala Lumpur City Center. When we got off from the train, we just need to walk a little and then at the exit of the KLCC station, we find the luxurious shopping center - Suria Mall.
Suria Mall is housed at the basement of the Petronas Twin Towers.

Welcome to the majestic Petronas Twin towers.
Petronas Twin Towers. Once in the throne as the tallest building in the world, the Petronas towers reign the title from 1998 to 2004 (after it was surpassed by Taipei 101). The structure was planned and studied for for a year (1992), construction started in1993 and it was realized 7 years after. The building was officiallyopened in1999. It rises 1,483 feet (170 meters) above the KLCC ground. It is a spwarling 88-story building that houses Petronas business and employees.
Since it was a Monday that we arrived in KL, we were unlucky as the observatory deck found on the 42nd level was closed. So we just enjoyed the view at the ground, getting all the angles a worm's eye view could capture.
Going into this gigantic structure is very easy via Train (KLCC station), taxi, or bus. The KL givernment also provides a free shuttle (bus) within the city. The drop off/pick up point is at the side road of KL Towers.
I just love the water fountains along the Petronas Tower grounds.

After we were staisfied with all the shots we got from this beautiful structures, we headed to Bukit Bintang area for shopping and dinner.

Bukit Bintang is home to Kuala Lumpur's best food and shopping. From KLCC, we jumped into KL's monorail. Then we started walking the nightlife of Bukit Bintang. It was chaotic. Tourists of diffirent races and ages mixed into the crowd of KL. Traffic was bad. We saw people crossing anywhere in the road anytime, not minding the traffic lights. My impression? oh well, just like Manila and Cebu.

Of all the malls we'd passed by, we decided to spend more time at Berjaya Times Square.
Berjaya Times Square is a one stop one shope venue for good shopping and great food. It is a Hotel, Condominium and shoppng center at the same time. The building is a 48-storey high, and the first 12 levels are dedicated to shopping and restaurants. Here, one can enjoy great shopping. According to locals, this has the best bargain in the Bukit Bintang area.

With a 3-hour of shoppng at Berjaya, everone was satisfied. We all then decided to go back to Petronas Towers so we could get a shot with all the lights on the structure. We certainly didn't know where to catch a ride but since we already saw the 2 towers lit up somewhere in a place, we decided to uust walk. It seems near but it was actually far. Anyway, we were out of the PH, so what more could we expect for? walkaton is the key.
On our way to the KLCC grounds
Awesome view of the Towers and the full moon.
That building in front of Petronas Towers (i forgot the name hehe)
It was already a quarter before 12 midnight when we arrived in the Petronas Tower grounds. We were enchanted with the city lights. However, not long after, a group of Malaysian Police men approached all tourists to advise closure of grounds. Oh! it was already 12 mn. They already shut the lights down. The gigantic structure entertaining us with lights suddenly becomes boring. Okay! time to go home then.
This caps my Kuala Lumpur one day excursion! Achieved. Btw, the taxis in Kuala Lumpur do not have meters. Meaning, you won't expect for a flag down rate. So, rates are based on destination and driver's mood. Hilarious but true. We were able to get a taxi from KLCC at RM30 (Php450) Yes! It was costly but we didn't have a choice but but it in as Trains were already shut down after 12mn. Anyway, there were 5 of us in the taxi though, they're not strict in head count as long as everyone would fit in the cab. From KLCC, we dropped RJ and his friend at Bukit Bintang where they stay, then we headed to Hotel Sentral just in front of KL Sentral.
Hope you enjoy reading my blog guys.. see yah around.
