Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa Subic

A taste of luxury. Yes! indeed, what a wonderful way to end our Luzon trip. After 4 days of a bumpy long ride from the Northern Ilocos Region, we finally set foot at Subic City!

August 6, 2013. After a fun and wild half day adventure at Zoobic Olongapo, we finally succumb to bed. But before arriving to our chosen hotel, let me tell you first how we came up with Kamana resort.

On our way to Zoobic, in a hired taxi, we were discussing on where we could stay in Subic. I immediately grab my iphone, opened Agoda mobile app and started browsing for hotels. When i sorted it from highest to lowest price, Kamana Sanctuary Resort and Spa topped on the list. And in just a minute, i assured the group to use my credit card then booked the resort. Well! 6k for an overnight stay is quiet costly but seeing the infinity pool and the ambiance of the resort (in Agoda Photos) pushed us to proceed with the booking. Tadaaaaaang...... Confirmed. We're already booked.

The challenge of going around Subic is its transportation. There were no jeepneys, bus, nor tricycle. One had to hire a taxi (FX) at the cost of Php500.00 per way. Geez! you heard it right, 500 pesos per way.

Okay! here we were. Enjoy the photos of the resort below.

The resort is located at Subic City Freeport. It's around 2 KM from the higahway. Unfortunately, the resort does not provide shuttle to its guest, so you need to suffer the dilemma of transportation in Subic.

Rates of the hotel are as follows:

Standard Twin - 36 sq m - Php 6,000++ (weekdays) - Php 6,500++ (weekends)
Deluxe Single  - 46 sq m - Php 6,500++ (weekdays) - Php 7,000++ (weekends)
Deluxe Twin    - 46 sq m - Php 7,000++ (weekdays)  - Php 7,500++ (weekends)
Deluxe Twin
with Loft         - 49 sq m - Php 8,000++ (weekdays) - Php 8,500++ (weekends)
Hotel Suites   - 60 sq m - Php 8,500++ (weekdays) - Php 9,500++ (weekends)
Casitas          - 70 sq m - Php 10,600++ (weekdays) - Php 11,600++ (weekends)

The above rates are the resort's publsihed rates as of September 2013. It is a bit costly, thus, i recommend ou guys use Agoda.com for hotel and resort bookings. Discounts are given up to 50% discount.

Review:

Overall, i would rate this resort as 4 star. Would have given them a 5-star should a shuttle service made available. Everything in the resort were good. I had not complaints. Architecture was nice, very modern and clean. The resort has only a few staffs that you wouldn't expect they'd be able to attend to your needs immediately. Leg me commend the resort's life guard as he was always on bis spot everytime someones used the pool (though the pool's depth is only 4 feet).

Food was tastu but prices were not reasonable.
